I'm so happy you're here, I'm Chelsey.

A bit eclectic and obsessed with textures, I create harmonious designs for brands. I have 8+ years of design experience and a demonstrated history of working in the printing industry within marketing and product development. I'm skilled in typography, packaging, book design, illustration, screen printing, creative direction, and digital and print collateral.

I graduated from North Central Kansas Technical College in 2011 with an AAS in Computer Information and Technology. The design capabilities in DreamWeaver and the amazing Flash websites being created at the time amazed me and opened my creative soul to evolving as an artist. 2016 I received my BFA in Graphic Design from Fort Hays State University. In the later part of my last year as a student, I received an internship as a production artist at a screen printing shop where I set up screens, mixed ink, and screen-printed custom designs onto apparel and promotional products.

After graduation, I pursued my print career started as a graphic designer in marketing and product development. The printing process became an equal passion, seeing the physical product come up for proofing, finessing layouts, finding cool typography, and playing with hierarchy, I expanded on my Pantone knowledge – my printing experience opened the doors to doing more packaging, editorial design, and bookmaking.
Behind the designer title, I am a teacher and a multidisciplinary artist. I teach youth painting and evening hand-built pottery classes at Uncorked Inspiration where I am a studio assistant. Fulfilling my creative endeavors as a teacher, I lead the local community in the art of ceramics, clay, glazing, and acrylic painting.

My passion project with fiber arts by the making of yarn is very dear to me in a mental health sense, I've found healing within my local fiber community. With A Texture Collection, I'm able to share and talk about my journey through yarn! Doing this opens a gate to constructing a brighter network in freelance work and evolving my creative practice by working with other small fiber businesses and their social media needs. I get to research, record, design, produce, and market along the way, harmoniously. In recent days, I've been experimenting with video production, curating fiber projects from local flocks, or walking around at the nearest park – all the while organizing and mood-boarding my process as a creative thinker, maker, and storyteller.
